This is Paddington. He’s the youngest resident at the donkey sanctuary I volunteer at. Only 7 months old. He and Penny were rescued in late December, when Paddington was only 7 weeks old. Way too young to be without his mother. Both of them were terrified, and Paddington collapsed on arrival, due to being extremely weak. He also had a really bad infection in both eyes.

Now, though, he’s a happy, healthy little chap who has decided that he loves having his chest rubbed. Can’t really see in the photos, but his eyes are blue. Penny’s still pretty nervous (and who can blame her), but she’s looking better as well.

There is nothing to beat the feeling of a good satisfactory scratch. Paddington is a really cute chap. Glad he is settling in.
