During the school holidays I've taken some time off work and been able to sleep in until around 9.00am. However this hasn't gone down too well with the piggies, particularly Noggin, who are used to getting breakfast at 7.

Noggin has let me know how dissatisfied he is with this by climbing out of his cage and waiting by the fridge door in a morning. He lives in a Ferplast 120 cage, the sort with the front that lifts up and I always keep this up because he likes to climb out and have a little wander in an evening.

However, he is now going into the kitchen and waiting by the fridge. I don't know whether he waits from 7am! It certainly gave me a shock the first morning I discovered him there and I dread to think what he would do if I left breakfast any later than 9!

Waiting piggies

Really made me laugh, the thought of your pig patiently waiting by the fridge!

Does he week to wake you up too?

We would love to see a picture of how he ist waiting before the fridge.x)

that is so cute, at least the guinea pig can't raid the fridge, i had a cat that did so we had to have a childlock so we did not find all the non tasty food on the floor!

Awwww thats such an adorable mental image! Lol :))
It must be lovely for your piggies to have that freedom - I wish I had the motivation to keep my floor clean enough and my lounge tidy enough to do that :)):)) I guess they go hand in hand - good on you!
x

Now that's just SOOOO cute! :):))
What a little sweetheart! I would also love to see a photo of the eager guinea.

Ha ha ha - i'm on a training course at the mo & that made me laugh out loud :x
He sounds like a fantastic piggy!

Too Cute! I'd love to see a pigture of that! Mine here the toilet flush in the morning....guess its their alarm clock! But I only hear sounds of sturring....then when the light turns on...a little wheeking...not much. But when they hear that fridge door shut and the crinkle of the bag....Oh my gosh....they get on the second level, paws up on the coroplast and practically sing for veggies....no way i can go potty without feeding them anymore...lol

That is too funny :))

What an interesting character your piggy must be!

I haven't taken a picture of Noggin waiting by the fridge yet, but next time he's waiting there, I'll try and get one. Here are a few pictures of Noggin for those who haven't seen him before. He's five years old and was rehomed from Honeybunnies' last November. He's a large white piggy with an even bigger personality. Unlike my other rescue pigs, Noggin adores human company and enjoys being held and cuddled. (Ignore the dates.)

Oh just wait, they will. I got Abby first, then a week later got Molly...Abby's personality changed so fast...she is now a happy, popcorning piggy making all sorts of noises....at first she was unsure if she should/could...but now....She has her personality and is my special one..(sshhh dont tell molly!) its been 4 weeks now, i feel like i've had them forever!

my piggies get cross if I go make a cup of tea and have a quick sit down before i get their breakfast they wheek like mad so I can't hear the TV and have to feed them. It's like feed us first before you start sorting yourself out :)) I just couldn't imagine them waiting for me by the fridge though that really is demanding his breakfast NOW!

That is a lovely story.I always give my piggies morning veggies and then refill the hay racks ,however one moening I forgot to do the hay .A few minutes later I heard a lot of rustling and when I looked in the little monkeys had reached up and pulled the big hay sack down to help themselves. It is quite a big sack and they had never done it before, not so daft as you think are they?

LOL. WOW. those little bandits:)):))

You've got a very special one there...

Noggin definitely made himself at home when he was on foster with me! The house seemed so quiet when he left. Martha still has his picture by her bed!

Noggin is a credit to the love and care your family showed him. He is so gentle with children.
We have all been out for the day, and when we arrived home this evening, Noggin came to the door to greet us (and to make sure we wouldn't forget to feed him!) He seems to behave more like a dog than a piggy!
