hey just wondering when you usually bring guineas indoors for the winter?
It feels colder at night already, iv bought them a cosy bed to help them keep warm just incase they wanna snuggle up

I advise that outdoor piggies are brought in when the night-time temp falls to 10 degrees.

aww 3 degrees already :(
thanks. I'm in bedfordshire, not long until i bring them in then it must be about 12 degrees tonight x

Mine aren't in yet, they don't come indoors properly, just into my conservatory which is warmer than outside but not as warm as inside.

It was very warm during the day today and I can't move the hutches in and out really easily so they stay out a bit later, and if we get some freak early cold nights like tonight they get extra hay and covered up. After last winter which was HORRIBLE I am ordering some snugglesafe heat pads for them, can't be doing with all that cold again!

Mine come in during autumn time, as piggies can't stand the cold especially when it starts getting frosty.
How much are the snuggle safe pads? I have a heat mat designed for reptile tank, it's a thin sheet of plastic that slowly heats and stays at about 20 degrees. If I put this in waterproof bag and wrapped in fleece would it be safe for the piggies?

My lot live indoors all year round, and only go out when its 18c into the run for a few hours.. I worry about them otherwiserolleyes
