I live in Wimbledon and although you can search online which vet to go to, I think it would be nicer to know if anyone near me goes to a vet that they think are good with Guinea Pigs. Also pricing of common treatments would be excellent if you can provide it :)

At the moment, I am taking my budgies to CJ Halls Vets
http://www.cjhall-vets.co.uk/

They are really good Vets and look at many many animals and not the usual dog and cat.

On their services http://www.cjhall-vets.co.uk/services.asp, they mention chinchillas but not guinea pigs.

They are quite far to get to, if someone could recommend a vet near Wimbledon area then that would be very helpful. Thank you for reading :)

Thanks Pebbles,

Matthew usually sees my budgies so I might aswell sick to CJ Halls. Just that it is a bit far... Not sure how well guinea pigs do in travelling.

Mine travel 40 mines to see Ann, we live in Redhill and she is in Ewell and I refuse to go anywhere else!

As long as they have plenty of hay you should be fine, pop them some cucumber in the carrier so they have something with moisture in as a water bottle may not be practical

Thanks Doeylicious,

I read about Ann and how she does.. I think teeth trimming without anaesthetic, which I have read around can be difficult for older guinea pigs. She sounds much better than Matthew, althought Matthew is really good vet. I remember I had several questions about budgies and he sat and answered all and even though I took so much of his time, he even asked if I had any more questions and to ask next time if I had forgotten some.

I'm sure Ann will be very good. Do you know the prices from Goddards- Ewell? I'm travelling to Ewell tomorrow anyways to go to the guinea pig rescue :<> (SO EXCITED)

OMG when are you going tomorrow? I am going tomorrow! I may well see you!

I know the rough prices but to be honest I have stopped looking at my bills as it makes me feel slightly sick...a first consultation is around £33 though.

My Mum has a budgie so it's good to know there is a good budgie vet around
