Hi everyone...

Where do you get your hay?

Am looking to order Timothy Hay for the piggies... They are very picky about their hay and only seem the like the hay from pets at home...

Is there anywhere I can order online that has good hay and good prices?

Also what is the difference between 1st cut and 2nd cut?

Thanks 🥰

Sorry I should have added...

Am finding it difficult getting hay at my local pets at home store...

They just don't seem to be getting it in 🙄

So am looking for another option?

Like many forum members I get my hay from haybox. It's good quality stuff, dust extracted and you can get a regular subscription. I've personally never bought Timothy hay, only meadow but I expect their Timothy is just as good as the meadow. I'm not sure what the difference between first and second cut is either.

Hi,

I am in Ireland, not sure if this will be any use. But I'm sure you can order it..it is fairly cheap. I get the below. It is called Meadow Hay. Both my piggies absolutely love it.

Just worked it out there 🙈 am actually hitting myself as to why I didn't look this up sooner...

So the bags of Timothy hay I buy from pets at home is 1kg for £5.99 which is the biggest bag of Timothy I can get there...

I looked up hay box there and you can get 10kg for £30.... Absolutely mental 🤯🤯

I buy hay from hay and straw online. They sell 9kg for 18.00 pounds. I get ings hay which is really soft.

10kg for 30.00 pounds!! Must be wonderful stuff.

There’s haybox, hay and straw and timothy hay.

I think 1st cut is stalkier than 2nd cut.

Yeah that hay and straw have very good prices 😊

@Siikibam unfortunately Timothy hay don't ship to Northern Ireland 😢

Definitely going to order online now 😊 thank you all for all your suggestions 🥰

I am in the USA so I don’t know if it’ll be in Ireland but I have a farm store that I get my timothy hay from, it comes in 50 Ibs and lasts probably 4 months.
