Is there a site that sells large 10-20kg bags somewhat cheap? Are the seeds basically the same as wheat grain that you would feed chickens and such

Yes, they are the same thing. Young wheat shoots are called "wheatgrass" in health circles is all.

Thanks just seeing your reply now, I woke up this morning to quite a surprise one of my sows had given birth to 3 babies! I didn't even know she was pregnant, I was told all 3 piggies were female at petsathome! I think I've singled out the male he was humping the one that just gave birth, wow though what a surprise lol..

Yes I bet.I think if you complain to pets at home that they sold you a boy instead of a girl then they should give you some compensation x

I rang today they said they will take the male guinea pig back and refund my money and they could also take the baby guineas when they grow up so at least I know I won't be stuck with them, I'm any females though :) they will all be handled from birth too so they hopefully will grow up to be less shy with me

Wouldn't take pets at home sexing them, specially as they were wrong the first time.

Yeah ideally would have adopted or at least bought from a private breeder but there aren't any of those nearby :( on the plus I get to raise piggies that will he handled from day 1 so I really hope they will grow up to be like their mom nice and open and letting me pet them etc, unless they all turn out to be boys and I have to part with all of them :0 id be heartbroken

I just had the other adult sow on my lap feeding it wheat grass I'm trying to get her somewhat less skitttish around me so that her possible pups will be friendly too, but I don't think she will I tried for a couple months when they first came but she just doesn't like interaction the closest she comes is to be handfed, but anyway while she was on my lap I swear I could feel her belly move and it definately wasn't her paw, so the possibility of another litter seems alot more likely :0
