I was wondering if anyone can help me with any online addresses for food and hay, my local pet store has closed and my other pet store P@H is some distance away and I am pretty certain that I can get better food etc from other places can anyone give me any suggestions please.

Hiya,

You could try a farm shop for Hay. I googled Farm shops and a directry came up so I could find one in my area. £5.00 for a bale of Hay can't grumble with that!

Not sure about dried food P@H are more economical for me buying a £10.99 bag lasts ages! My pigs were on Tescos purple but swapped because they didn't do big bags which is a shame as it went down well too!

As for veggies well I shop around, I have found Lidl and Aldi the best for cheap veg but Netto, Tesco and Morrisons sometimes have offers of too.

Thanks for that advice, I will certainly give that a go the only query I have got is that its for guineas for over 6 months he's eight weeks what can I give him till then?

7pm everynight at Sainsburys you can get bags of salad, herbs and veg from 2p. My mum goes nearly everynight to get stuff for the boys ;D

Thats the problem - in germany they sell Vitakraft Vita Special in three different packs: Junior, Regular, and Senior.

But Zooplus only stock the Regular :(

My piggies are on Wagg orange bag mixed dry food...which I get from Asda. Fine if your piggies are on mix, not for if on pellets.

I have bought timothy hay from P@H but while in Asda at the weekend, picked up a huge bag of Wagg meadow hay for £2 odd and since it was absolutely chucking it down rain outside bought that instead of having to trail to P@H. No idea if they piggies like it yet (not opened) but if they do then that's us covered with dried food and hay from Asda.

Veggies I use Asda again and Lidl for theit gorgeous leafy carrots :)

i get a big bag og P@H nuggets ,it last me a long time ,sorry can t remmember how much it cost`s,as for hay some i work with give me a hole bale of it which also last me a long time :) :)

what have you been feeding him?
I use burgess and i know my local petshop sells it.
hay wise i buy it in bulk so cant help with where to buy that from a shop

Tescos in a purple bag! He seems to like it, he's a funny little chap-he prefers to eat his veggies out of his cage!

I feed mine on pets@home nuggets and use their hay, I will be going over soon if you want anything? where abouts are u? Keep an eye out as liddles have specials on their veg.

Thanks just been to p@h and bought a Nero 3 for my two boys ( :D) and got some free Hay, sawdust and p@h nuggets so I am going to give them a try in a few days once they have both settled.

I like www.ukpetsupplies.co.uk for accessories, toys, chews and dry feed. You might like to look at www.sphsupplies.co.uk for specialist hays and feeds. I use www.dustfreehay.co.uk for hay, it smells gorgeous and it's so soft even I would sleep on it if I had to!
You know if you buy in bulk from P@H and farm shops you'll save money on the products and save yourself the shipping charges. I now only buy hay online regularly because of this, but I used to use those websites all the time.

I would seriously highly reccomend www.pamperedpiggies.co.uk 0:) for toys, grassy hideaways, grassy logs etc

Delivery is superfast and comes cutely wrapped in brown paper and string. :smitten: :smitten: I love it cant resist must resist someone please switch my computer off off off

Sorry they are great! :smiley6600:
