Where do you people get timothy hay from what webistes?

at the moment I'm geting mine from pets at home but i think it making my piggs smelly a bit i use about 1 and half bags to fill one 4ft cage and 2 bags for a 5ft cage as you can see i need a lot and need to bulk buy it really

any ideas

i only use the timothy hay for them to eat,i find it is really prickily to use for bedding, i use a softer hay for their bedding, either p@h hay or another.this will save you money, as the timothy hay is expensive.

i find it ok for bedding and not priclkly at all

in my other 2 cages i use hay what i get from a farmer but the other 2 cages cant have this as amber in lillys cage had a bad eye whe nshe was a baby and we think it was the hay and aflie in the other cage had the same problem and thats why we give 2 cages timothy hay

I'm not going to use pets t home owns hay as i have hard bad stuff about it

Hiya.

I buy the big bags of normal hay from P@H to use for the cage bedding (which they can also eat if they wish). Then I buy tim hay and give them handfuls of it every so often for them to eat as its better quality. Tim hay is quite expensive if you are using it as bedding material.

Not sure of any websites that sell tim hay in bulk - sorry. Good luck in finding one though! O0

I agree that you would save yourself alot of money by switching to a cheaper brand of hay for bedding, however, I do agree that you shouldn't get the pets at home hay, I have had problems with it. Can't think of any websites at the moment, if one pops into my head I will let you know. O0

I do the same as you piggyloon

megazorb and meadow hay (good quality) is the best option i have found its soft and safe. Try going to a local farmer and see if you can buy a bale of meadow hay it will cost about £2 ish depending on which area you live in but certainly not more than £5.

If you want bigger bags of timothy hay please email me your requirements and ill see what i can get. an 18kg bale is about £50 plus £6 P+P and i can do sizes in between that just let me know and ill see what i can do :)

Do you do bales of any other types of hay and how much for those for example a bale of meadow hay?

I can only send timothy hay by the bale because its compressed i dont think :police: mr royal mail would be very happy with me dragging in a bale of my hay!

I could do a couple of kilos though of meadow hay or timothy hay? If you want to email me we can discuss this with out me boring everyone and getting chucked of for going on too much about me! ;D ;D

ooh where do you live because if your in the south then maybe i can deliver? just a thought!

Meadow hay is is good enough as long as its 'good meadow hay' :)

Planet Guinea ... for bulk delivery. Price shown includes P+P and all benefits go to Reading Guinea Pig Rescue. :)

If you want more than one item contact Planet Guinea for a quote and reduction in price, or pay the full price and it'll go to the guineas :)
