I’m gonna be making fleece liners for a 3x6 c&c and I just wanna double check which would be better to use as the bottom layer? I’m thinking probably the mattress cover but wanted to double check

Not sure.

Definitely not the mattress protector. Whatever you use needs to be cotton, that protector is polyester. Using a man made fibre means it will repel rather than absorb moisture.

What are the blankets made from? In the US there is talk about U-haul blankets as they are made from recycled denim and therefore are cotton. If those are cotton then great, if not I’m afraid you need to search again.

I’m not sure what the blankets were made of could the mattress cover be 80% cotton 20% polyester? Or does it have to be 100% cotton?

I’d go for 100% cotton although lots of them have a polyester bottom to them which is fine, providing you have it the right way up. If the polyester bottom is against your fleece you just get puddles of pee (guess how I know...?)
