I have the "classic", which is clear with a red cap and "biba" which is opaque with a green cap. Both work fine and don't leak... But I'm building a new cage now and want to know if there's a fantastic water bottle out there that I've missed. I would like one that's about 2 or 300 ml (Right now I use 600 ml bottles and they don't need them that big. Half would be plenty, I change their water every day and they have usually drunk a cm or less. ) It would also be AWESOME if it could be attached with suction cups as the new cage have perspex sides...

Over here the Ferplast Sippy bottles are seen as the rolls royce of water bottles. I like it that they have a big opening for cleaning but wonder if my piggies would understand how to use them? The mechanism is different from the regular ones.

I saw Claire talk about a glass water bottle. Is it easy to clean?

Any water bottle ideas? (yes I realise I'm now crossing the river of infinite dorkdom...)

Hey Dork :(|)

I don't have any idea but how sad is it that I shall be following this thread. I would like some with a long spout if anyone knows of a particular water bottle with a long spout?

The Biba ones are quite long. Longer than most I have seen. I think the glass ones at P@H had quite a long spout too if I remember rightly. What are you using at the mo Lisa?

The bog standard classic ones.

I keep dropping them and smashing the spout off too so maybe glass bottles aren't the way to go.

My Mimsi has a sippy. He has no problems with this and figured out how to use it right away..

Just had a look at my Biba ones, the spout is about 2 and 3/4 inches (just the silver spout bit, not the green plastic bit it goes into)

Thanks! I think I'll order a Sippy then, to try them out. If I decide I want one of the glass bottles I will kindly take your offer to buy it for me, Kimberley! I haven't been able to find it online...

It wouldn't a problem, I can see a post office from my front window, so it isn't out of my way or anything! Just let me know :) Let us know how you get on with the sippy, I've considered them in the past aswell.

OOH that's quite long! May be worth getting one and trying it out.

They come in four bits too.... The bottle, the green cap, the spout and the wire bit to hold it on to the cage. So you can give it a proper clean because you can take the spout out.

I have a sippy, so easy to refill and the only bottle I have had which doesnt leak!

I agree. The wide top on Sippy's is also really useful when you need to add a probiotic powder to the drinking water, as you can easily pop it in the top without needing to mix it in another glass/jug first. (I find the opening on a Classic bottle is so small that you can't easily pour the powder into the bottle without using a funnel!)

The Sippy holder is also really good - much easier to slide the bottle in and out without needing to touch the holder and the bottle can easily be used on the inside of the cage as well as the outside.

I keep meaning to try the Biba though as I've heard good things about those too :)
