well my partner and i share the feeding duties - so they don;t love me more, well when he is late back from work I get complained at by lots of wheeking and grumpy faces complaining they are hungry - they have plenty of hay etc etc just they have eaten all their nuggets. They are looking so cross and and grumpy and staring at me and i am trying so hard not to give in to their cute faces - as soon as i move from the couch the wheeking commences. Does anyone else have this problem?

my piggies are always demanding food i have to write down that ive fed them so my mum doesnt because they climb an start wheeking in their cage although they've just eaten :) but i hav to admit i almost always cave an give them some more lol

i dont understand piggiesrolleyes i give them their food. they stuff their faces leaving some food untouched and then start wheeeeeeeeeking at me. just give them some treats and it makes them sleep:))

Robbie never eats all of his nuggets but as soon as I go in the room he bites the bars wanting treats. If I give him a treat and my mum or dad walk in the room he starts on them, he likes to think they don't know I have just given him a treat, he's just trying it on.

Joy xx

haha my friends come round sometimes an they dont understand gp's some didnt even no they made any type of noise so i rattle something on purpose an you should see thier faces when they start wheeking

My piggies are just outside the back door and they are so loud at times, I can hear them even when the back door is closed! They always seem to know when they are about to get fed too as they go mental. Unpacking the shopping is also another course for a wheeking session and I understand completely about the crisp packets :)) Eliza was so desperate for her morning veggies yesterday, she fell out of the hutch and ran to the veg bowl ( don't worry, the drop is tiny). They both always stand on their back legs with their front paws on the wire mesh too which makes me feel even more guilty x

haha i know what you mean they really know how to beg :P

thats the truest thing ive heard(or read lol) all day
my oldest one bob has me wrapped round her lil finger she knows that when nshe squeeks at me at climbs the cage ill get her out

i definitely think they do a better job of begging than most dogs!

Definitely!

We work from home, so are around throughout the day. Any movement in the kitchen sets the wheeking off, not just the fridge... Rustling the same... And God beware that I'm late with food!

I miss my Dizzy; she would sit by my feet and stare at me intensively (pity I'm thick and can't receive), then start chirping encouragingly and finally wheek loudly and accusingly to make sure that dinner was on track!

LOVE the food wheeking. i was very confused the first time it happened, I opened some parcel and I thought they were all unwell! Then I realised AHHHH they want munchies hee hee :(|):(|)

It's been the same ever since and foster pigs are starting to do it so i'm good!

My boys have been with me for a 'wheek!' now and have really got familiar with the noise of me chopping stuff in the kitchen. So now I chop to the accompaniment of high volume wheeking. Who would have thought such a little thing to produce such a loud noise?

They can be exceptionally noisy can't they! I love the wheeking, it's a sound like no other animal makes :(|)

I can open the fridge a dozen times throughout the day and...nothing. Get to around 5-6pm (their usual veggie time) and I open it - a loud chorus from upstairs. I'm convinced they have an inbuilt body clock which goes off at the same time every night :))

i don't mind the wheeking it is the accusing grumpy faces which makes me feel mean! I give them veggies between 10 and 12 and oh gives the nuggets when he gets home

They have an inbuilt clock!

I had blind Mischief sit in front of me and wheek punctually ten minutes before dinner was due - every day!
