White piggy stained yellow ? Diarrhea ? Help !

I have a White boar who is usually very hygienic and enjoys preening himself . Today I noticed the white fur was wet and stained yellowish . He is separated from his hutch buddy just now due to the buddy having an operation and has been moaping around and spending loads of time in his pigloo . I thought he was feeling miserable cos he is missing snuggle . I am now wondering if he has has diarrhea or if he has just sat in his "wee" . Does anyone know what this might be ? I am taking snuggle for his post op check tomorrow so might take Daniel too . Any ideas ? Thanks !
 
I would think he's been sitting in his wee, in his pigloo & this is what's stained his hair but if he has an odour about him it could indicate a UTI. I don't mean the ammonia smell i mean a mouldy kind of smell.

Just to add my PEW girl lays where she pees & ends up with a stained bum so i keep her hair cut short in that area.

Having said this i would take him to your vet with his friend as it wouldn't hurt to have him checked over. :)
 
Corly is the same, he sits in the same spot and pees and sits and pees. Just clean him out every morning and night and wash his belly, eventually it'll go away <3

I've also had a vet say that it's a sign of them leaking which can be a sign of infection, since Corly has ALWAYS done this and has only had an infection for a month, I'm not too sure. Listen for wheeking whilst peeing. Best way is to sit with him on a towel for as long as possible.

Good idea to take them to the vets and get Daniel checked over too :)
 
Thanks for the advice ! I think he is just moaping and sitting in pigloo and soaking up his wee "lovely" cos he is missing snuggle to play with ! I think I will take him today anyway but that has put my mind at rest a bit ! Oh the stress of poorly pigs !
 
I have a white piggy who constantly has a yellow bum mallethead I bathed all 4 of my girls last Monday and she stayed clean for about 2 days until the wee stains were back.

i think all white pigs do it if we wash rocky he'll go and find the dirtiest smelliest muddiest patch to roll in straight after malletheadmallethead
 
Thanks ! My usually hygienic pig is now officially a couch potato ! Thankfully nothing wrong with him other than pining for his pal ! They have to remain apart for another 1 week yet ! I think a bath is in order !

bath? (my girls hate baths) oooooooooh dear, maybe some nice treaties straight afterwards to make him happy again ;)
 
Isn't it just great when the white piggies want to be yellow:)) BonBon's the same, she has the dirtiest patch on her bum.. right above her greasy nol (now how does one get wee up there?rolleyes
