This is the normal way they excrete calcium. As long as it does not feel gritty when touched then it is fine.

What diet do you feed them?

They also get calcium from pellets and drinking water (particularly in hard water countries) mostly but also from hay and grass which makes 80% of their daily food intake, so not feeding high calcium veggies does not mean they are not getting calcium. They need some calcium in their diet to remain healthy. Ensure pellets are kept to one tablespoon per pig per day.

Ensure you don’t feed carrot much. It is too high in sugar and root veg should be avoided as much as possible. Carrot should only be fed in a very small piece and only given occasionally, not more than once a week

so is it still normal if piggies keeps pee with white stains everyday? because even water contains calcium in it?

Normal piggy urine can be milky white and can dry a bit powdery.

What is the diet you are feeding them?

I don’t know what the water is like in your country, but here we have hard water and we use water filters to provide water for our piggies to lower the content.
A diet which is both too low or too high in calcium can cause the balance to be knocked out and cause a lot of pees. If it happens a lot then we say to review the diet.
If it is gritty then that is a problem and they are at risk of bladder problems and need a vet to check them out as well as potentially changes to the diet.

yes it's powdery when its dry, i always worried if it sign of too much calcium. i think if the pee was 'white' eventho it wasn't gritty when it's dry, that means it has too much calcium lol😭😭 thankyou for replying❤

Then powdery is normal but what food do you feed them? That is vital to determining whether you have the balance right.

1tbsp pellets in the morning, fresh grass, lettuce, cabbage once a week, carrot, grapes once a week, i think thats it. i don't really feed them veggie with too much calcium bcs i was too scared😭

It’s good they get grass.
Do they get hay?
They need more hay than anything else and it should be constantly available

They should get a cup of veggies once a day - lettuce, cucumber, bell pepper and coriander/cilantro can be given daily. These are low calcium but provide a good balance of nutrients and essential daily vitamin c.
Don’t give carrot and grapes in the same week, it could end up being too much sugar. Fruit and carrots do not need to be in the diet.

They still need some calcium in their diet. If they don’t have enough calcium then they can also cause the white urine

hay and bell pepper kinda pricey here. got some alternative?

They don’t need bell pepper then, cilantro/coriander is also good for vitamin c.

Hay is essential and makes 80% of their daily food intake. They need it for their main food source, for gut health and dental health.
Fresh grass can be given and also procures the same benefits. It is their natural diet but because they need hay or grass constantly, it means you would have to provide enough grass so that it is in their cage all day and night so that they never run out of it.

Please read this guide - it explains the diet piggies need

This guide provides derails of other veggies and their vit c content. However not everything on the list is suitable to be fed every day

How old are your Guinea pigs?
Do you weigh them every week as part of routine care?

Weight - Monitoring and Management

my piggies are 2-3months, should i feed them more calcium for their growth? i still worried about 'too much'

The diet that guinea pigs need is -

Unlimited and constant access to hay. It must be in their cage in large piles at all times and they must never run out. This makes up 80% of what they need to eat in a day. It is essential for gut health and dental health. Piggies need the fibre of hay and grass. If you cannot provide any hay, then they need a lot of grass in their cage at all times so they can forage on it constantly throughout the day and night.
They need one cup of veg per pig per day. Cucumber, lettuce, coriander and bell pepper are suitable for daily. Overfeeding veg and not giving enough hay can cause digestive problems.
They can have one tablespoon of plain pellets per pig per day.
Veg and pellets do not make up much of their diet.

The above veg and pellet amounts provide the right amount of nutrients for them.
The green diet guide I linked in explains how to feed them.

You must also weigh your guinea pigs every week as part of routine care to ensure they are getting enough hay and grass. As it is their main food source it is that which they need to grow and be well fed.
