i told my self i would only stick to the 2 guinea pigs, and then i saw the most gorgeous boy guinea pig and just could not resist :). i have 2 sows and i have now got 1 boy (in a seperate cage), i am hoping when he is old enough to get him neutered so he can live with the girls. his name is spiker he's a mixture of white, brown and ginger hes 2 mths old. not sure how old they need to be to get neutered. i will get photographs when he is not as shy.

i think its their eyes they look at you & thats it they've stolen your heart x)

when i got ben he was so small & i only picked him up for a cuddle but he got cozy & home he came with me i only wanted 2 but now have 5 beautiful boys so har to resist their cuteness xx

I know the feeling!

Firstly I went to adopt 2, came home with 3.

Then I said 'no more' - few months later I adopted another.

Just before Christmas I said, 'definately no more.' Saw an advert in the vets for a lonely boar and stupidly rang the number and that eve ended up driving home with a young boar. I was thinking as I was getting home 'what happened there?'

Now I've fallen in love with rexes and would just love one! x)

Hmmm - I started with a pair and I'm now up to 45 - be warned !!!:))

It was one of the reasons I was initially going to get 2 boys I know what I'm like it's happened before I promise to stick to 2 and they just keep multiplying. Well we decided a neutered boy and a girl, lets all see how long that last's shall we? can we say weak willed :))

I had 2 piggys a after 3 years when I properly became interested and finding loads of things out about piggy's I saw an advert from a private breeder with 3 month old piggys that were black/ black & white with a crest on the top their heads! They looked so cute, I bought one (Patch) and he got on really well with Pinky and Perky(RIP in piggy heaven over the rainbow bridge) I went back and got another (Poppy) who is completely black with white 'socks'rolleyes
Now Perky has gone I've seen several piggy's at recues that I'm very tempted to go see (I'm thinking more on the rex side)
Not all pet shops are bad though, our local one, we know the owners and her piggys are kept in big pens and are clean, always have hay/food/veggies and are healthy. She keeps them seperate to the rabbits and they have somewhere to hide each.

I started 2008 with none, then by the end of that year with five, then this year I'll be adopting three more, so will be ending 2010 with eight! oh noooo, what a shame! :)):)):)):)) i may even get more by the end of this year :x:x:x:x

Guinea pigs are very addictive luckily i have a bf to keep me under control and if that failsafe failed i have furby who was a terror to bond jive with. Not sure i would want to put another piggy through that!

He isn't stupid is he?! ;):(|)

Their faces make me laugh, they are such weird but cute creatures! hehe

i only get a cuddle when he wants one which means i can wait days to get my cuddle ben has got me trained so well :)p:)p

Too many cute piggies in need of a loving home...

When I joined the forum, I had two - I'm up to eight now and have been promising my hubby no more since #4... rolleyes

i said no more piggies after ours died last april.but then i missed them so much homes just arent the same without wheeks :)
so i got 2 lovely boys and i was happy with them but somehow i now have 4 boys :))

I started with one petshop boy (Mr Bojangles), then took on 3 rescues (Texels), then wanted more texels and discovered Perus at the same time... then started fostering, then rescuing.... and have at time had over 70 here :x

Much fewer now that at around the 30 mark, that's enough!

I don't have room for any more but I am happy with just my 2 anyway. :)

They have a little treat tomorrow, the whole conservatory to themselves! :o :(|)

i can see how it'd easily escalate!

I wanted 2 but ended up with 3... but nomore :)... I'm sure my parent's will keep me incheck.... but with an intact boar and 2 spayed females it's not easy to add to my mini herd, so I will just have to not bother! :)

I had 2 back in 2007, then ended up with 16 altogether, until we lost one the other week - I just love them - I wouldnt have more than I have now, as we have a baby on the way. But I love them, cos they dont bite, they are so cute, I love it when they popcorn, I just love them to bits! I love the way they squeek and run round cos they know they are having cucumber or their veg in the mornings - I just think they are great pets to have and they are all my babies :-))

ohhhhhhhh yes my boys are my babies as now my daughter is nearly a young lady :(

i will definatly be sticking to 3 now, boyf only wanted the 2 but fell for spiker with me, i definatly do not have space for more than 3 guineas, though would love more.

still very shy will try and get some pics tnite up tho if he'll let me

We started 2009 piggie-less but agreed to get Pippa and Willow last Valentine's Day. Pixel followed just before Christmas x)

I would dearly love to add another to my little group and may do eventually. I find myself looking in the rehoming section more often and fear it's a very slippery slope! :)) ;)

I love how much character they have. All three of my girls are completely different and have thier individual like and dislikes and little quirks. I love how much they talk too!
