Why don't my piggies popcorn very often. Are they unhappy?

I think you'll find that some piggies are just more energetic than others and popcorn like crazy ;D ;D ;D ;D
as long as they're eating and drinking well you'll find they'll be happy as anything O0 O0 O0 O0
They probably popcorn when you're not around ::) cheeky things :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

I always found that my piggies popcorn when I've cleaned the hutch. As they got older though, the amount of popcorning decreases. As long as your piggies look happy and clean and come up to you when you have food than there's nothing wrong with them. Don't stress if they don't popcorn - we are not having a cheesy grin on our faces every day either!

Mine don't popcorn as much as they used to do but I suppose they're now used to all the good things that they get. They still popcorn when I've cleaned their cage and when they're out for excerise but up to no good. ;D

No, you will find that all pigs are different. They all have different personalities. I have some that rarely popcorn except for the occasional carrot and some popcorn virtually non stop. My dad came to visit and thought something was wrong with that one. If they eat, drink, poop, and stay at a healthy weight you are doing well.

I think it does depend on the pig, but age plays a big role too! my younguns popcorn at anything but the older ones not so much! Especially my poor old Ralf he's much too old and arthritic to manage a proper one, though he does give it a go ;D i think babies popcorn all the time but as they get older their personalities develop more and if theyre not loonys they dont do it loads! My piggy Sephy holds the record for the highest popcorn ive ever seen but she hardly ever does now she's much more laid back! x

zoe has never popcorned in her life but jessie is so silly she popcorns and really jumps high as though someone has shot off a gun. out of all the piggies i have had there have been some who have never popcorned, some ocassionally and many lots. think it depends on the piggy, and the age, and in jessie's case mentality. 98) don't worry about it, mind have never purred, have had many piggies over the years and none have purred, petal ( 0:)) used to snore but no purring. if your piggies are eating, drinking, pooping and doing pee pee and love cuddles then they are happy campers :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
