I have noticed that my girls have seemed to gone off certain foods this week. They seem to turn their noses up at broccoli, carrot and parsley which they usually love :'( They haven't stopped eating or anything but it has concerned me. Is it just that they might be board of it, is it because OH has been feeding them grass and dandelion leaves all week cos he's been off work or could it be something else?

Do you vary what you feed them? Mine go off carrots regularly but then they only get them about twice a week. Parsley and broccoli should be limited anyway to a couple of times a week. What else have you tried? Instead of parsley try coriander - it's better for them and it's like catnip for cavies!

They have parsley and carrot a couple of times a week and broccoli every other day. They also like apple, pear, grass, dandelion leaves, kale, salad cress, savoy cabbage and greens. They are fussy eaters anyway which doesn't help so there's lots of things they don't like :( Thanks for the corriander tip, i'll try them with that. I've already tried them with mint and basil which they don't like :(

Yeah I think they're a wee bit strong. Dill is a good occasional, too.

Funny you should say that. My piggies have been out of readigrass for a few weeks as it's been out of stock from where I order it from. My girls LOVE their readigrass. It arrived this morning and they've not touched it? Most odd.

They seem to be fine in themselves, although I'm wondering if I gave them too many dandelion leaves at the weekend?

Hope your piggies appetite picks up soon anyway. :)

Oh and thanks for the coriander tip daftscotslass, O0 - will give that one a try.
