When I heard about this big Rex, formerly named "Daddy" sitting in a rescue, aged between three and four years old, I knew I had to do something about it! I reserved him via telephone last week and picked him up today. I am sure someone must have loved him at some point because he's such a gorgeous-natured boy. Because of his age, he'll be an indoor piggy and is currently laying on a bed of hay. I've done him a big bowl of Pets at Home nuggets and a bran mash mixed with porridge oats but he's not too interested yet. I've sprinked a bit of Pro-C Probiotic on his mash and mixed some with his water too. He's also got a Naturals Parsley Bell all to himself.

I have decided to call him Wilbur and even though I've only had him a few hours I'm already so attached. There were many younger piggies in the rescue but I know I've made the right choice having my little man here. He has big, sad eyes and thick fuzzy fur which is just lovely, even though he needs a bath which he'll be getting in the next week. He's going to board at my friend's house soon while my shed is sorted. I love my little Wilbur x)x)x)

I'm not a great fan of Rexes but he looks like a very kind and cute boy. Good luck to you both...

I'm a massive fan of Rexes - they are so laid back and I love their fuzzy coats too.

Your little fella looks adorable, it's great that you adopted him via a rescue. They must have been delighted to rehome an older one. Well done.

Love his name too x)

Aww what a cute little face.

He's lovely, good luck to both of you

Thanks so much everyone!
He's really settling in although I think he's a bit overwhelmed by the space, he's in a big indoor catch and seems a little nervous about moving around. He's munched his way through carrots and is getting more skittish and lively which must be a good sign :)p
