One of my New Guinea pigs has a bad habit of drinking out the bottle at and awkward angle meaning half of the water drips onto the floor and makes a horrid mess and the bottle is empty with a few hours! Unfortunately I can’t get the ferplast sippy ones (would of been my first choice) as the can’t attach to their hutch or run. Would a bowl be ok? I was thinking of having 3 or 4 bowls around their enclosure so they would always have at least one clean water source, or is there a reason people don’t use bowls?

I use bowls and they usually stay clean during the day. I change the water once a day or if needed more. Just one of my four piggies has seen a water bottle in her life.
I personally prefer bowls because the piggies can drink in a more natural position.
My piggies have two water bowls and there’s rarely some other stuff in there than hay. My piggies go crazy for hay out of the water bowl.
Once they managed to roll their snack-ball into one of the bowls that was quite a mess. But normally the water stays clean.

Thank you. I have put a bath mat down with two low bowls on so bedding doesn’t get kicked in as easily. They’ve all taken to it better than I thought and they seem a lot happier to drink in the lower position like you said
