Will my guinea pig get sick or injured from chewing clothes pins?

She has plenty of hay, but ever since I have been using clothes pins to keep her from burrowing in the fleece she chews on them nonstop. I have other wood in there for her to chew but I guess it's not the same. Are clothes pins as safe as any other wooden chew toy?

@raining.ashes I'd change them to binder clips/crocodile clips that are used for holding paper together. They're metal so she won't be able to eat them.
