Me and the OH went to Edinburgh for the night the other day and whilst there we went into P@H and found a range of products called "Woodlands". All sorts of treats and speciall mini alfalfa bales and chewing sticks and such, all 100% natural with no added anythings!

We got the rose hips and some willow sticks. Our pigs turned their noses right up at them! They barely sniffed the rose hips and havent touched the sticks haha

Has anybody else tried anything from this range? Do your pigs like any of them?

The alfalfa bales have the consistency of breeze blocks. I nearly broke my fingers crumbling them up for my pigs to try - they weren't interested. I don't usually fall for these sorts of treats; my pigs are thrilled senseless by a bit of groundsel. I was momentarily blinded by the natural, wholesome look of them.

Mine like the bags of stuff like clover & plantain and dandelion and stuff. But again no go on the rosehips.

I have bought the willow balls and they do chew them up quite happily!

But it's very hit and miss.

We bought some mountain herbs for the guinea-pigs which they ignored completely and ended-up being finished-off by the rabbits. We also tried the Echinacea (cone flower), which I thought would be good for them in Winter. Again the bunnies will eat it (sort of), whilst the squeakers completely ignore it.

The biggest hit I've found, is the apple branches the neighbour gives us for free when he prunes his apple trees in September. They love gnawing the bark off them (but then ignore them when bare, so I'm glad I don't have to pay for them). Both the bunnies and the squeakers also go mad for dandelions.

I feed weeds on a daily basis from Spring through to late Autumn, as they're free and really good for them.

I have only tried the parsley bells and my two didnt try them until a week later! I left it out for them during floortime and they igonred it! But then after a week they tried it and they both loved it! It was gone within a couple of days.
I have tried the naturals range which is the same i think and the pigs do like the dried herbs and weeds etc.
There fave is fresh grass, dandelions and clover leaves. :)

I bought the alfalfa bales for my boys, none of them were particularly interested, had a quick sniff then left them, wont be buying them again, waste of money, they go for hay over things like that everytime.

i buy the woodlands food in bag tried the bales one sniff and didnt bother with them bought willow sticks freddie stripped a couple that was it

Some of mine quite like the dried blackcurrant leaves as a treat every now and then, and will nibble on an apple stick at bit.

I found the leaves useful to give after they've had baytril, to get to taste out of their mouth.

Mine like the Large hay tunnel. They climb up on it and nible at it all day.

the tunnel has been a big hit with my 4 - they have stripped it bare within a few weeks - anyone would think I never give them fresh hay everyday at the speed they stripped it - it now looks like a giant loo roll!
