Also gave them some Hebay Harvest

Anyone know what Hay it is and whether it's rich in Vitamin D?

Just want to get the balance right. (note: one of the pigs is pregnant)

Thanks for your help.:)

i do know alfalfa hay is good for pregnant and nursing sows, dont know about the other ones you have mentioned- sorry, sure someone else will though.

I think with the mixed stuff it's hard to tell you the calcium content as no-one really knows the amount of each plant there is in there. I got a bag for free once and used to just sprinkle a bit on top of their dried food or veg every now and again. It seems quite pricey to feed liberally and probably, IMO, isn't as good as leafy greens.

Sorry, that wasn't any help was it!

Looking at the ingredients it is mostly meadow hay with extra dried bits which is probably in good quality meadow hay anyway - apart from the peas, corn and beetroot obviously.

None of mine liked it in the slightest - not even a nibble.

I would perhaps feed a little twice a week in winter time when there's not much else around fresh in the way of wild herbage. I do normally try to get some nettles dried, but they were full of earwigs this year, so have been thrown rolleyes
