My little Phoenix is worrying mommy, AGAIN!
He got a clean bill of health, when I took him in with his persistent sneezing with some Batrim antibiotics just Incase.
but today, after eating a small slice of pepper, he’s coughed about 4 times in the spand of 5 minutes or so, once in my arms.
He has no other symptoms, no crusty eyes or nose. Breathing is great. And he’s healthy active and eats like a horse.

The sneezing has stopped significantly after switching his hay, and he’s on fleece as well.
He’s coughed twice while eating his hay!

Does he eat like he's never been fed before? He's most likely just eating too fast and getting the food caught. My boar does it occasionally when he's pigging out.

Sounds like the first hay was too dusty, and now possibly he's just eating too quickly. If he's eating, pooing and running around normally, especially if he's just been checked over by a vet, it's unlikely there's anything much wrong.

Thank y’all. The coughing has stopped, I’ve heard him cough while eating veggies before, but it was always a one time thing! Hearing it a few times in a row worried me! I think the hay was scratching his pipe. I’m such a worry big

Hi!

It is great that you could sort out his sneezing problems, which were obviously caused by hay dust.

Please take a deep breath. A one-off coughing fit while eating is the same as what we experience when something is going down the worng way. ;)

Thank you, that’s what I was hoping ! No coughing since, I’ve always been a worry worm with my boys!
