Ok i have the 3ft ferplast cage currently which will be to small for 2 piggies, waht if i was to get a 2 1/2 ft cage and join them togethereither one on top of each other or better side by side with a tunnel going from one to the other. That would make a floor space of 5 1/2 ft for 2 pigs. My dads going to put the thing together for me if it would be big enough :)

Hi Kezza
I think it'd be great for 2 piggies.  I used to have 2 piggies in a 5ft hutch with no probs.
I now have 2 piggies in a 4ft x 2ft indoor hutch & they're fine but they do have 2 bowls, 2 bottles, 2 pigloos etc to prevent possible squabbles :)

Ok thanks. The cage i'm looking at has a bowl and bottle included so thats ok. :)

I am very confused about the ideal size for two guinea pigs. I hear lots of conflicting suggestions.Any ideas please?

yes thanks had a wee read of it. trying to find out if they would deliever to ireland tho as it looks like an usa company. The cage i have falls short of 10cm according to their guidelines and iam just a bit concerned. It was the biggest one in the pet shop 118cm by 64cm by 64cm

They're not a company. You buy the bits and pieces yourself and then put it together yourself! It works out a lot cheaper than buying from the pet shop. I can quite easily say that while pigs might be "fine" in a smaller cage, my pigs have never been happier since I folllowed the size requirements on guinea pig cages!
