i just wanted to ask to see what you think - i have just had Suzy spayed and she lives with 2 girls - they aren't close and never sit by one other, but i have a male who is 2 1/2 years old and i was wondering if i would be OK to try and house Suzy with him? i don't want to get his neutered, but do you think i would be OK to try them both together and see how they get on? i know the other girls wouldn't miss her, as they never did when she was at the vets all day, but i would lovely Romeo to have a cage friend as he hates males!

she only had the oepration tuesday, so i was going to give her 2 weeks to recover fully, is that long enough do you think?

Once she has recovered (I'm not sure ow long you should wait), I would say it would be a lovely idea if you tried them together It sounds as though 3 is a crowed with your sows Good luck xx

i'm not sure how long to let her recover either. i have never had female guinea pigs spayed before only males. i think i will try her though with romeo when i can and see how they get on. i feel sorry for him as he's always trying to get to the girls (another set i have) and he cant have a friend, so this way at least he might have hope with Suzy.
