How do i stop my piggies trying to launch themselves out of my hands into the cage or run I'm very concerned that they are going to get hurt as the minute we get near they start wriggling around and trying to get away

This is a common problem, we have ahd a few wrigglers in the past , our 6 month old is a nightmare at this we are using the below technique for her at moment

Another thing to do is kneel down with them when you are near the cage so you aren't approaching the put down from such a huge height

I walk backwards towards the cage (bear with me, I know it sounds dumb ) and only turn at the last minute to put them in - or if I have a wriggler I try to cover their eyes The video @sport_billy posted is a great idea too, we have a couple of boars with a favourite snuggle sack who sit much more still in there than in our arms for carrying ^-^

Mine use to fling themselves back into the cage. Definitely always put them back bum first, there's less chance of them hurting themselves.
I trained them by keeping hold of them about an inch off the floor until they stopped wriggling, then but them down. It took a few weeks, but they learned that they got back in the cage quicker if they sat still. They no longer struggle when I put them back, unless they really need a wee! They have taught me that if they get a bit frantic, put them straight in the litter tray to avoid wet patches!
