Xeno 450

Instead of taking Lentil to the vets to get some ivermectin, could I not just purchase some Xeno 450 pipettes online and treat him myself?

Do you think it would work out cheaper?

Has anyone used Xeno 450 before for mange mites?

In my experience it would probably be cheaper, if your sure its mites. You could get Xeno 450 or I just purchased some Easimec from Hyperdrug which cost about Â£13 with postage and its active compound is Ivermectin.Probably more cost effective if you have multiple piggies to treat

The vets gave Buddy Xeno 450 last Monday, all mites signs were gone by Thursday

Though they usually need two treatments to take into account eggs/unhatched mites.

It works for all external and internal parasites, I use it, I would say it's definitely the best product around.

Pet's at home vet's sell it per pipette i called and asked them when another vet tried to sell me a pack of 6 that i had to wait 4 day's for. I think it was Â£5.80 each

Does anyone know what the youngest age is for babies to be treated with xeno or similar mite drugs? Which is the best treatment for them?

Well Xeno 450 only can be used for guinea pigs with a bodyweight of 800g or more

I have found the xeno which can be used on guinea pigs with a body weight less than 800g, I just wasn't sure if there was a minimum age.

You need Xeno 50 mini - that treats guinea pigs under 800g

Yet my vet was going to give it to my youngest who was the size of a large syrian when we got her.

Sweep had mange when we had him and it took 3 doses of Xeno 450 2 weeks apart plus a steroid injection to break the cycle of scratching before he was given the all clear
