This morning the girls have had their first dose of baytril. Ruby went first, I swaddled her in a fleece and held her between my thighs to give it to her. She managed to get her front feet out and as soon as the syringe was anywhere near her she pawed it away making it pretty difficult to get the medicine in. Managed it in the end- she wasn't impressed and her big chewing she was doing told me she didn't like it, but no spitting so that was good.
I managed to swaddle Esme a little bit better, I probably didn't need to- as she made so little fuss and just took it like a good girl.

Aw, what sweeties x)
The second pic looks as though Ruby is saying 'hey, Esme, does that Baytril stuff make you burp - oops, here's another one, excuse me' :)

Day 2 of baytril:

Both girlies are wise to it, Esme managed to move her face away just whilst giving her the baytril with some of it ending up on her chin. Ruby is very very difficult to wrap and puts up a fight if you try and wrap her front paws. So she was still trying to paw me away, but once she had the first bit she did her 'this is yucky chewing ' so left her mouth wide open. Dreading tomorrow rolleyes

The first two photos of Ruby are priceless! Hope all the yucky medicine works in the end and the girls will be cured.

Awww, poor things. That paw made me laugh! Baytril is foul stuff :)>>>

Hopee they get better soon, healing vibes to them x
