Hi there does anyone have any suggestions as in how we can get rid of the yellow from the underneath. I bath him often and it doesnt look very nice.

Please any suggestions would be grateful.

This is a common problem with white piggys unfortunately and all i can say is it does stain their coats and a good shampoo will probably make it a little better, It doesnt look too nice but i would say dont bath your piggys too much as this could cause them to get itchy and dry skin and is worse off actually ::)

Try this site O0

Thanks for the advice. I have had them for 1 mth now and i have bathed them about 3 times. Is this ok?

I bathe them every 4-6 weeks personally, I'm not sure if bathing almost every week is good for their coats, especially if it is a harsh shampoo. The Gorgeous Guineas website link iloveanimals posted has some great natural products specially formulated for guineas and if you need advice, email the lady who runs it, she is really knowledgeable and happy to help :)

You shouldnt bath too often as it takes the natural oils from the coat and will make it brittle :)

I will bath mine every 4-5 months unless they are dirty etc

Thanks for that i will stop bathing them as often it is only due to the yellow underneath i think that he is dirty.

yeah like the above opeople said bathing too much is not too good for their sking and their fur may look greasy.
Its probably just his colouring maybe ? ::)

Thanks for all advice it is very nice to know these things. I have been reading books too to try and gain some knowledge.

Maybe get some cotton wool and warm water and just bath the yellow area? Rather than using shampoo and going through the stress of bathing properly? x

i use the jhonson and jhonson dry foam shampoo when gideon gets really messy you just massage it in then wipe it off with a dry clean towel it saves having to bath him (can't bath gideon i'm to scared he'll take breathing problems again so this stuff is great)

Thanks very much for the advice i will try it and let you know
