Just need to figure out exactly what I need to buy... Already been out and bought a few toys, hay, litter trays, cushions and fleeces.

I've still gotta get some more fleeces, hay, Readigrass, food bowls, pigloos and food ball holders.

Can't wait, got my card next to me and I'm ready to start spending! x

Don't worry girls. I've set myself a limit of £100 - give or take £50! ;)

I'm confusing myself though... I've got a list of things I want and have prices comparing different websites/shops but now I don't know where the best places are to go what with delivery prices etc...

What do you need?

Credit cards are evil! I dread to think how much we've spent over the last 6 weeks but it's well in excess of £200 ( how much in excess I don't want to know! )

It's very easy to spoil piggies x)

Have you decided on what food your going to get them? I know you said you were after a few piggies so getting the big 10kg bags will probably work out cheaper for you but you might have to order online as not many places stock the big bags ( at least none I've been to )

:)) Sounds familiar. I spend days virtual shopping before I commit to buying. Couple of suggestions if you haven't come across them already.

I've ordered from
http://www.equinecaninefeline.com/catalog/index.html

- they have a good range and delivery charge is low.

also
http://www.animalmagicpetsupplies.co.uk/epages/BT3336.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT3336/Categories

- they are a member on here (HolidayHutch) and customer service is really good.

I'm still a bit of a piggy shopping novice compared to some other members. :x:))

Have fun! :(|)

What do you need?

Well... hay (I've got bog-standard for bedding but want some decent stuff for the hayracks), houses, cozies, food bowls, nuggets, Readigrass, food balls, willow balls, and more fleeces.... thats just what I can remember! x

Probably the PaH nuggets 10kg for £16.99 but I've emailed Layla to find what she feeds the piggies so that I can introduce it gradually, unless they're already on it! x

Hey Donna,

There are a couple of Jolleys pet shops in our area, one in Blyth, one near Ncl, and one somewhere else! They do readigrass, and most of the other stuff you need. We don't get our hay from there as it is compressed, I have recently ordered some onlline from Farmway, along with Megazorb and am impressed with both.

Have fun setting up ginny fifedom :(|)

please please be careful with your 'new-found friend' the credit card. it can be all too easy spending money when you have one of these.....this is coming from someone who knows, trust me! you get lured into a false sense of security..'oh look credit card....£250 limit...spend spend spend, uh oh, over the limit, call cc company 'no problem here we'll up your limit to £350' brill you think, you say to yourself right i wont use it now until i pay what i owe..but then something catches your eye..oh i could put that on my card...then again spend spend spend...gone over limit, call to cc company...'no problem we'll up your limit to £450.... and before you know it your limit is up to £1500, but youve gone over and now owe £1750, cc will no longer up your limit, you've only been paying the minimum repayments each month, now it seems it wasnt enough with all the insurance/extras on top, you cant pay it back in one go, you start missing monthly payments they want ALL their money back NOW, and with fees/charges its over £2000. your screwed! what do you do?

well I'm still paying for it now....12 years on!

i was once lured into getting a credit card. i promised myself to only use it for emergencies. but then little things catch your eye and you begin to use your cc more.

please please be very careful. no matter how 'good' you think you are, it can get to easy charging to your card and becomes more of a habit than you'd like :)

Thanks for your concern hun but I'm ok. I've been down that road before and I'm always making sure I don't fall into that trap again. This card was just to transfer my balance cos my 0% rate on my other card ends shortly but it gives me the chance to get a few bits and bobs in for the piggies then thats it. I always destroy my card once I've got what I want so that all I can do is pay it off and can't spend anymore. Its a daft system but its a permanent one that works! X

Personally I would have said credit cards are for emergency's.

If you have money to spare then buy treats, but if not Piggy's need very little to keep them happy and healthy.
