You Know You Have Spoilt Piggies When....

I am glad someone else has fussy piggies! I bought fresh kale, very expensive from the farm shop the other day (whilst we had the packet stuff from Tesco) and they ate the leaves but left the stalk. They only eat the leaves of chicory and not the core bit which others I have had loved. They don't eat Peppers...apparently they are too posh to eat them. Cabbage is ok some weeks but not others, it has to be sweetheart cabbage too. They like some broccoli but not all..especially not from Tesco, but Waitrose is OK... Unbelievable!

I am at a loss sometimes! Fortunately grass and dandelion are ok...well thats good then isn't it :hb:

Mine will usually only deign to eat kale in the summer months...... some the winter when it's more 'in season' they turn their little noses up at it in disgust!

I also get a telling off from my Lilith if I serve their evening vegies without any pepper in the mix. :)

My lot get different fruit and veg to the rabbits, that doesn't stop the pigs from piling out of their hutch, stealing all the juicy stuff from the rabbits bowl before retiring to their hutch to eat their own far less inferior food, naughty dad for giving the best food to the rabbits - not! :))

...you find yourself hand feeding them their poop during extended cuddle times.
I've started doing this with Willow after Baytril/Metacam time (she doesn't squeal, just heartbreakingly whimpers :() as I've tried all sorts of tempting treats, kale, spinach, greens... but no, her own poop (deposited in the nervous squirmy battle we have twice daily) seems the most delicious :))

I wish I had a rabbit, the amount of veg l throw away because the piggies are going through they're fussy stage. I hate wasting veggies.

Mine always ear leaves of cauliflower and kale and leave the stalks. They dont like cabbage or peppers and have recently gone off celery.

They have two handfulls of pellets between them evey evening and rarely finish them!

Plus i feel guilty if i go i to the di ing room, where the fridge lives, and dont give them some kind of yummies. Luckily they are great at reminding me ...

I am coaching a living space

My pigs are so fussy they turn up their noses at more than they eat. Dry pet shop treats are completely ignored, and veggies get a yay or nay.

I think I am lucky my boys eat anything! The only no no is celery but to be fair I wouldn't eat that either ha ha!

LOL! Hadley doesn't like the inside of cucumbers... she chews the skin off and leaves the middles. Right now she is living on her own so no one eats them. Leela really likes cucumbers, so I am hoping that when they move into together, at least they won't go to waste! And Linney would never eat the stems of lettuce. She ate the leaves and left the stems behind. She was a princess who didn't eat stems.
