Young guinea pig Hay

Hi All
my little ones have been eating Alfafa hay since they are only 3 month old ... somehow 1 boy started to stop eating the alfafa hay and adapted to Timothy Hay instead..
can i check with you is it an issue if young ones eat Timothy Hay instead Alfafa Hay ... Thanks

Alfalfa hay is too high in calcium. I know it has been recommended to use for nursing sows but as piggies are weaned by 3 weeks I don't see that it would have huge benefits for 3 month olds. Personally I would switch to Timothy hay for them all
