Although we are all missing you so much Zach, I can't be too sad as I know you never really got over losing your special mate Buster. When Buster left so suddenly for Rainbow Bridge, on the 7th February, I felt that you lost all your sparkle. I've never known two piggies who totally lived for one another. You would playfight when you had an audience, but you needed one another totally!

I had hoped that by getting you neutered and having three wives would have given you something to live for again, but sadly I don't think it ever really made up for losing your soulmate! You were never the same again!

At ten to three this morning you passed away peacefully in my arms!

I so hope Rainbow Bridge is prepared for the re-uniting of my special tough little guys! It's going to be a riot!

We are all missing you like crazy, but knowing you two will now be together forever means I can't be too sad!

I'm so sorry for your loss Debbie. I felt the same with Tuppy, I was heartbroken but at the same time so happy that she was reunited with her soulmate, the only pig who was ever meant for her. She was never the same after Charlie died.
I am glad you are taking comfort that Zach and Buster are together once more.

Rest well, handsome Zach. xx
 
So sorry Debbie but pleased Zach is now with his best pal Buster. (((hugs))) x
 
Thanks everyone! When I took him over to the vets this morning, so they can arrange his cremation, the veterinary nurse was saying how guinea pigs seem to be the only animals that can pine for a friend to the point of giving up on life. Other animals can be sad for a little while, but seem to get over it, but for some piggies the loss can affect them more deeply.

When I get Zach's ashes back, I'm going to mix them with Buster's. One day I will scatter them all, but so far the time has never been right.
 
Debbie you know I was sad to hear about Zach but yet glad he's now with Buster where he's wanted to be ever since he left. I can imagine the shenanigans going on at the bridge with those 2 boys, i'll be listening for the thunder :))

Sleep in peace Zach, now reunited with YOUR Buster xx
 
This post is nearly making me cry, but it's almost happy because he is now together again with his best friend. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope they have many happy times together at the rainbow bridge. xxxxxxxxxx
 
I'm still gutted i just can't believe this brave little guy has gone, but i know yes he's with Buster ahhh his mate his BESTEST mate xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
RIP Zach boy have fun playing with the other piggies and munching out, i know you'll have caught up wih Buster and a few others that you'll have fun snuffling around xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So sorry to hear about Zach. I'm sure Buster *** waiting at Rainbow Bridge for him and that they are now playing happily. My two sows who are also at Rainbow Bridge would make good girlfriends for Zach and Buster! Have fun together boys..
 
I am glad that Zach and Buster are back together again. Sometimes a bond is so blessed that it straddles the Rainbow Bridge!

I am sorry for you, though, that you have lost them both so close to each other.

I haven't been here for a while & found that too many of our beloved piggies have gone over the bridge - including 2 of mine today. 8...8...

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Zach and Buster. I had a pig who died pining for his brother, 40 hours after he died. Sometimes no matter what we do it isn't quite enough for them to hold onto. They need their friends more and have to be with them. But know that they will be reunited together over the bridge - that I know. Hold onto that thought as it will give you comfort.

Hold onto the memories & love they both brought into your life. No matter how long or short-a-time they have been with us, they leave their little paw prints on our hearts.

My boys are sending extra special hugs & squeaks your way xx>>>

I have only just seen this thread Debbie and am so sorry that you have lost Zach :( Sleep peacefully little one. Run free at the bridge with Buster and watch over mummy and your piggy friends x
 
Awww Debbie, so sorry to hear about Zach but he is together with Buster again.....play nicely now boys! x
