Just been doing a bit of search to see if anyone has any experience of problems with their zooplus order and how easy/quickly it was resolved.

I ordered the Plaza 140cm indoor cage as it's still too cold to move the piggies outside and I am supposed to be collecting Daisy's new boyfriend on Sunday. It arrived today but one key part is missing... the metal cage part that forms the door! So I currently have a shelter I am very impressed with but definitely not a cage! Now my OH is planning to make a substitute door while we await the problem to be resolved so we can still go and fetch the piggy this weekend but me being a worrier is worried that they will want me to send it back first leaving me with just a 100cm cage for indoors which clearly isn't big enough for them both.

Hey Kelly (loved your crochet ovaries by the way), I've only ever bought smaller items from Zooplus.
I've not heard of the Plaza 140, assume very similar to the Ferplast one?
Personally I would just go for it...ask them to sort out another, explain the situation, tell them you are part of a worldwide forum and that they wouldn't want a bad experience going out and influencing many hundreds of potential and current customers.

I'm sure it will be fine. I had one of my older hutches from them but there weren't any problems with it lol. I don't want to delay daisys new friend any further

I ordered a cage & accessories from there last year and the water bottle was broken. They refunded & they didn't ask for any pictures. They will probably want photos of the cage because it's more expensive but I think they will sort it out quickly if you contact them. :)

Well they replied before their phone lines even opened. They apologised and want to do a parts order from the manufacturer which is all well and good but I will be now waiting 4-6 weeks for a door! Good job the OH is fairly handy!

My new rat cage came from zooplus as it was cheaper there than anywhere else.
Didn't have any issues with it beyond a couple of slightly bent bars but they bent back to normal no problem. I was actually dreading there would be something wrong with it as 44kg of metal would have been an absolute nightmare to return.

If there are part missing then it's more of a manufacturing issue when it was packaged rather than a zooplus issue.

Ironically it seems to be the smaller cage accessory orders that are more prone to damage. I have to contact them about a small box of toys that arrived broken including a hanging rat tunnel with no hanging attachments lol.

Dammit all this fuss and I have just found out that he's only 4 weeks post neuter and i'm expected to take daisy along to bond them... needless to say I have refused until he's 6 weeks post neuter

They got back to me about the broken accessories and refunded me and let me keep them. The "hanging" rat tube will now be a floor tube I guess but hey if its free then I don't mind so much.

hi Kelly- how do you find the plaza cage? I'm contemplating getting it as an upgrade on a 100cm cage for 2 youngsters who are growing quickly- do you find it to be very strong & easy to clean? thanks :-)
