    ID a garden weed?

I’d avoid as it’s not sticky (aka not cleavers). If you do forage cleavers in future, they have the most health benefits in spring and are good for detoxifying the lymph system for humans and piggies. My lot eat them and I enjoy infusing them in water (tastes like cucumber water).

    ID a garden weed?

I have got three different answers from using photo apps on the internet and also can’t see this in the helpful sticky thread about safe forage. Our garden has lost all its grass in the heat but there is lots of this coming up. Is it safe for piggies? Thanks 🙏

    Low Calcium Foraging Food

I have a foraging puzzle toy and a treat ball that my pigs love, but I'm trying to keep their calcium levels low due to urinary issues in one of them. Does anyone have suggestions for low calcium treats?

I highly recommend Piggies Parcels for forage too. My piggies love it and we know it’s all safe for them

Timothy hay loops coming from China

I tend to stick with sweet green hay cookies and forage for my boys. I get most of their treats from nature's own when I order hay. And they go mad for green oat hay too.

Timothy hay loops coming from China

Mine get dried forage and hay cookies as treats. As @fluffysal said green oat grass makes piggies very happy too. I never give mine sticks, loops or anything like that

It is a very high quality German Steiff bag. That compensates for the bears instead of piggies 😁

    The Wheaky Beans herd

Today’s breakfast was dandelion, yarrow, grass, cleavers, herb robert and wavy bittercress. Now to forage weeds to make wild pesto for the humans!

    Happy birthday Chesney

...floor time so I ended with Stripe. Then Chez only wanted to be out for three minutes before he tried climbing back in his cage. But he's the birthday king, so no complaints. Currently they are munching on forage. They like the oats in the forage but totally ignore oats when I buy them for them.

    Hay company recommendations

Nature's own for my boys. I mix meadow and sweet green with a topper of green oat hay. They actually wait for the oat hay and it always produces squeaky popcorning. I also get the pea flakes, forage and some treats. The bags are compostable and fully recyclable. Free delivery over £25.

Timothy hay loops coming from China

...only hay, they do not have any fillers. As long as the hay is fine, they should be something that one can give frequently, as it is just hay woven into a shape. My piggies do not seem to like hay cookies as much as those hay loops, or some types of forage. We have never tried the green oat...

    Stripe smacking/spitting out treats

...a vet appointment for the issue. He ate all his veggies but when he eats treats he smacks and spits some out. He's active and just ate his forage. He has CBS and I read they can get jaw problems and tongue paralysis. Could something be caught in the molars? I looked at the front teeth and...

    Advice on UTI

...They are eating some then not bothering, so at the moment they arnt eating many nuggets, but I guess that’s better than too many!? The forage I have ordered is on the piggie parcels website. It’s the urinary bundle. Have a look and you’ll see what’s included. I’m beginning to confuse myself...

It seems strange that you always have to rearrange the furniture. Hasn't your mummy learnt in all this time how you like it?

Where does everyone get their Timothy hay from and what’s it like?

I tried the softer hay box one, but it turns out that mine love Nibble and Gnaw, but mostly the soft parts. They seem like to like the foraging part. Lots of waste but they are delighted by it (and not easily pleased). Have just had to accept the waste! GOod luck with the mixing plan!
