I advise getting rid of the fleece mat altogether and buying some F10 disinfectant which you can buy from places like Amazon. They’ll be instructions on how to make it up. I hope you can get rid of the roaches x

Got some more stuff done
Wash fleece
Go to pet store and buy forage and a new dry food that hopefully the cats don't reject. This'll be the third brand
Went to health food store and bought some groceries

It's always worth checking ebay for fleece. I got some zorb ones (used but absolutely fine) for a real bargain price. My boys don't care about them being pink with unicorns! I use bobble bath mats on top of fleece (as do many others) They need to be without rubber backing.
We buy songmics grids...
I would make the f10 solution quite strong and soak the hop inn hides.
In order to use the step stools and make them secluded for the piggies, you could buy cheap pieces of fleece to put over them: those pieces of fleece can then be hot washed during treatment, hot washed at the end of...

Ate whole milk Greek yogurt and maple syrup
Cleaned cages
Just gotta go shake fleece in the rain and wash
Trying to decide if I want to go to the bookstore to visit my coworkers and buy a book
I like this idea and did think about it - maybe creating a fleece forest kind of thing on a couple of sides. I guess Id have to weigh the top down with something or they might pull them off on their travels?
Hi all -- Thanks again for help on my post about reducing piggie smell. What I learned is that we need a better cleaning schedule w/ more frequent/smaller cleanings rather than less frequent/bigger cleanings.
I was reading about fleece and am wondering about this. Right now we have a Coraplast...
Hi and welcome
I have titled your thread and moved it to our housing section (which also includes all things bedding) for you so that you will get more helpful answers.
We have got an illustrated step-by-step fleece guide here; including washing and underlayer tips but also an overview over...
Fed breakfast to all pets
Had coffee then tea
Cleaned cages at 6 am sharp
Waiting till it's light out to shake fleece then I'll wash it. We have a diarrhea inducing parasite on iceberg lettuce and I need to do some research on romaine before I buy some for the boys. Someone suggested...
Where is everybody buying their fleecey bits from these days? Realising I need some tunnels that stay open, the ones that we currently have, the girls keep stomping on and flattening them  I've gotten so many lovely items from forum members, but haven't seen them active in a while
Adorable piggies, love the crash pads. I haven’t seen ones like that before.
I make my own fleece liners, but buyfleece houses. Our boys love the luxury hooj cubes by Fuzzbutt, I make sure I buy the fleece ones.
Can also be flattened/slept on top of, especially after a few washes, here’s Loki...
I havent but I wish I had - I bought my c&c from kavee and it was much more expensive.
It wasn’t as strong as I thought it’d be for that price.
( you still need to use cable ties for added security/ strength whichever one you buy)
Some forum people have made their own
Just to mention I...
I've used both paper bedding and fleece over the years. I currently use fleece... the pigs like it fine and it is SO MUCH CHEAPER. I still have to buy paper bedding and other substrate because I have hamsters too and they need to burrow, no way am I spending more on bedding for pigs who don't...
The forum recommends getting piggies from a rescue where they come already bonded and health checked. You will have the rescues advise for any problems encountered down the line.
If you are looking to get your piggies from a rescue please check with the rescue what their cage requirements are...
You can get Proplex (coroplast) from Wickes - it’s in large sheets and can be cut and folded it to the size of your C&c cages - measure twice, cut once! Much cheaper than buying pre-made ones. I also made ramps out of square guttering. I use washable incontinence pads and fleece blankets for the...
I'm glad we are helping. You will find your own way by trial and error. What suits one doesn't suit another and what suits some piggies doesn't suit others. I have slight variations amongst my cages to suit the occupants. I would say spend as little as possible on bedding to start with in case...
I have, and this bedding they are currently on is the least she has had stuffy nose problems with. I am currently trying to save up so I can buy them fleece bedding to see if that will improve her on-going breathing problems or not. I have tried different hay brands and types as well, no...
