thanks for your advise :) i never thought about paint or lino. the piggys are in a c&c cage atm but i want them to go outside for summer :) i really like the rose cottage cage, but it gets quite costly with £180 for the cage then an additional £50 for the cover but I may end up getting that one...

    Should I Move Piggies?

Sorry for long message, but I would love some opinions from fellow piggie people... Lily and George are currently in a 4x2 c&c cage on top of a table in a mezzanine room upstairs. The room also serves as the kids' playroom (mostly Lego and painting etc - it's peaceful) and has a cupboard for...

    Good Temporary Cages

I am interested in this too. We are due to have some decorating done and I am going to de camp to my parents with the kids so we are out the way. I am going to take the piggies with us as I don't want them being around all the dust and paint plus my husband isn't confident in looking after them...

Bluebell Pets At Home Cage Thoughts?

Yes I didn't buy it for £180. I got it in the sale for £100 so got it as it was only a pound more expensive than the Bluebell at the time. Yes the quality is good. Not had any problems with mine at all and had it about 18 months now.

Hi Everyone, first of all I am new to the site so sorry if I am re-hashing any old posts. For Christmas my partner surprised me with 2 adorable female piggies who are now around 5 months old. They came with a Ferplast 80 which they are quickly getting to big for. I have spent hours looking at...

    Please, Please Reassure Us

You are doing a great job with your boys. 2x4 is perfectly big enough for one piggy - in fact it is over the minimum recommended guideline size for 2! I share your worry though - they are such complex little creatures, and I sometimes wish I could just tell them to stop trying to kill each...

    Pig Chewing Paint Off Cage

One of my pigs (Popcorn) chews on the grids of my new C&C cage I received from guineapigcages.com which is painted black. The paint frays slightly when she does so. Could this harm my piggy? She doesn't get a lot of the paint off but I'm just worried it could eventually harm her in a way.

Do I Have To Move My Boys

Even the low odour paints make my nose run and give me a headache so I would move them and air the room out as much as possible before they go back. I know you would put them in the cage but I got a vision of free ranging pigs becoming stripy pigs and you having hairy skirting boards!

Does Anyone Else On Here Spend Ages Reading Stuff ?

Yes its a good way to relax in the evening, a bit like picking up a favourite magazine. It also gives me lots of inspiration, I'm just going to paint the woodwork in their room as I'm giving it a revamp in preparation for their c&c cage arriving. (In case anyone is worried, I might keep them out...

    Bar Chewing?

So recently my pigs have been chewing their cage bars when I walk into to the room. They only do this because they are hungry and want my attention, (I am positive because they don't do it when I'm not in the room. It's not because of boredom. When I turn off the light they instantly stop) but I...
