We are decorating our living room and just about to start painting......do I have to move my 2 boys into another room
or can they stay were they are? as they live in the living room (free-range), they have a cage but its left open all the time
so they can come and go as they please. We have to gloss though its low odour gloss so I wasn't sure if I should put the boys in the
kitchen for a few hours.

I would put your piggies in the kitchen until the room is aired or the paint dry. Just to be safe and also to give you a bit more room to work in!

yeah, id put them in a different room for at least 24 hours (how long paint takes to dry properly) and make sure to have the room ventilated to stop the fumes from being too bad. good on you asking advice :)

That's great thanks, well this should be fun:lol!: I take it I wouldn't
be flavour of the month this month then

If you Are you using water based paint (no fume) you might get away with it

Even the low odour paints make my nose run and give me a headache so I would move them and air the room out as much as possible before they go back. I know you would put them in the cage but I got a vision of free ranging pigs becoming stripy pigs and you having hairy skirting boards!

Guinea pigs have a very good sense of smell and small, delicate lungs. I wouldn't risk keeping them in the fumes. Move them out for a good few days to let the paint dry completely.
