Oh gosh, I didn't realise it was that late over there.
I totally agree with keeping things out of reach of the pigs! I've read too many horror stories about pigs hanging themselves or choking to death to want to risk it, and I had a hamster choke on a piece of a hand mirror when I was like...
Hey, guys. After I reviewed the answer yesterday. For my piece of mind, is it better if I clean the cage in the backyard even though it is closer to the fences than the garage and without a door to protect. The situation is my mom opening the garage's door and the odor of paint goes into the...
Mine have come from also_grendle on ebay. They sell everything except the corex, even blue or pink grids, one grid or hundreds! I have been buying extras from them for years. Very quick delivery and the grids are a better quality than most. The paint doesn't chip and they don't rust unlike the...
If the walls are painted then a damp cloth in warm water and dish soap should take stains off. You can wipe the cage down with a mix of water and vinegar. You can clip some fleece or newspaper to the side of the cage at the wall to act as a barrier.
I have built them new cages in my brand new piggie room that has been added on to my house. The tables are a foot taller and there will be nothing around them for him to climb on around the cages in the event that he would even get into the piggie room. The room is almost done, they just have...
4 My Family and I
In this instalment, I am tackling the Family Myth with a look at instinctive wiring but also its limits and what happens when groups go wrong.
Family wiring
Sows in a group are usually quite closely related. The new influx of genetic material comes from the boar the sows...
Hi I have had my two piggies Charlie and rumble for a few months now and both came in quite small cages, obviously I've done my research on them and no they need plenty room to run about so I just wanted to show you the indoor run I've had made, it's meant to look like a little garden lol, it...
thought I’d share our piggies home with you all. They live in a summer house in a 5ft double hutch with added run space, complete with lights and heating. We haven’t had them long so I’m making improvements all the time. Can’t wait to get everything painted in the warm weather. Their new C+C...
I've been happy with my piggies and they are very healthy and getting everything they need. Even though both are unneutered boars but I've been convinced they're best buddies, haven't been fighting, they sleep in the same cuddle bed every night despite there being 10+ other different hideys...
Area is pretty much clear and cage building has commenced 😁 was going to paint with cuprinol as its small animal safe but now can't decide whether to just leave it unpainted, what do you guys think? Also it's super strong all 3 kids have been in it 🙈
Yes, there are some really crappie cages on sale, relatively cheap but unless you keep them in a shed or garage they rot very quickly, your‘s is lovely!
I have raised guinea pigs for 15 years and I also do a lot of woodworking. The ONLY safe product for guinea pigs is organic natural vegetable or fruit dye. These are the dyes used in making traditional Persian rugs. That said, you can probebly use a "top oil", which dries to a clear hard...
I just changed their cage setup a bit because we are getting rid some of the furniture we don't use. The whole thing would move a bit to the left when I start building the new draws/cabinet that will be put in the corner by the window. At the moment, all the bags of hay are just on top of each...
Here’s Lady Tonks showing off her ballerina skirt. Paint me like one of your French girls :))
When she walks past the cage all you can see is that tuft of hair so we call her shark butt... shark butt oh ah ah 😂
