    C&C cage bases

Welcome to the forum Yes a c&c cage is really the only suitable option for two boys. Sadly pet shop cages are never big enough particularly for boars. Two boys need 5x2 c&c. You can buy coroplast from wickes or even from Amazon. If you are happy not to use proper liners, you can use washable...

    Looking for some assistance

Yeah, me and my fiancée @rializa_2026 were talking about making the cage a possible 3x5 c and c cage, possibly getting a ramp cover, and or adding sides of some kind to it.

    Truffle and Polo

The co-trimoxy went down the hatch 🙂 I cleaned the nozzle of the syringe after drawing up the antibx and then drew up a bit of diluted Pro C into the start, then rolled the nozzle in Pro C powder. Then I put the nozzle in from the left and after a few tries, squoosh, in it went. Hopefully Polo...

    Outdoor housing - temporary

Our two bonded guinea pigs are currently indoors in a 6x2ft c&c cage. We are going to be putting our house up for sale soon and would like the guinea pigs outside for the photos /viewings until the house is sold which could be .. who knows how long. I can't see anything suitable for them. I...

    girls new home😊

I agree - Think of a hole on a safe c&c grid, they are that size to stop piggies being able to try to get through and risk getting heads stuck I put engineering bricks (they’re narrower) under my hutch gap which was about that size, rather than a standard house brick. My husband is a bricklayer...

    Hexie, Freddie and Babychino!

Babychino Hazel, your person must have a heart of stone. Well done for voicing your opinion so strongly at such a young age. I think Saxon c/o @Betsy will be interested in this case. The cup of shame hovers never far, ever near 🏆🐾

    Rosie is acting wobbly

People do that in Germany too - refer to guineas as hamsters - it's really strange.

    Old boar losing weight

My 5.5 year old boar, Mochi, has lost some weight. When he was young, he used to weigh 800-850g. The last few months he weighed 750g or more. But recently, his weight dropped to 700g. We've been feeding him recovery food from Oxbow, that helps him gain weight. We give him lots of hay and...

    Boars in Stockholm (Kongos diary)

We wanted to build a landscape/palace, but we didn't have enough space with two pairs of boars. The stacked c&c was a great solution for us! We still use it, we changed the coroplast and added a loft for Ben and Harry, so it was really worth every penny. It has had many sizes and shapes through...

    Dental issues

I would 100% recommend trying to get an appointment with Cat and Rabbit care clinic in Northampton. They are fantastic especially with dental issues as @YvonneBlue says. Here’s our experience….. A few years ago we had a foster pig who was clearly struggling. He came from an all animal...

    Advice on post spay aftercare

...stress from being isolated in a new environment, and the possibility of disrupting their bond. Option 2: Move all 3 piggies indoors together in a C&C pen (with or without a divider). Keeps them warm indoors while maintaining the herd. Downsides are increased stress for all piggies being in a...

    Truffle and Polo

Polo tucking in to hay in the playpen while MS waits anxiously for the poops. There were some nicely formed ones in his cage, but some smelly ones too. He's had Baytril and a bit of Pro C just now. Of course MS lost the Pro C scoop so had to faff about with teaspoons and a scale, but it seems to...

Male Pigs-Same Cage or Just Neighbors?

If he doesn't want it, he'll show you that during the bonding process by not accepting the other one. When you're set up with enough space in one cage conglomeration or C&C, I'd try the whole bonding process for the two boys. If it doesn't work out, you and they have lost nothing. Good luck.

    Probiotic options?

Mine refuse to go near benebac or fibreplex, but they will take Pro-C mixed into critical care or similar and eat that off a small dish. All the best for the surgery.
