I have a 1 week old 5 day male pup who is rumble strutting and seems like is (trying) to mount his mom, and also his sister. Should I go about introducing him to the other males and separating him from his mom?

Hi!

Your little boy is starting a bit early, but is still too young to do any damage! He is still only just in the process of switching from mainly relying on milk to mainly eating solids at the moment.

You can use his weight as a guidance for when to separate. Please be aware the mum comes into season around 16-18 days after giving birth. Most boys are still too young to mate with her then although it tends to wake up the more advanced one. I know however of at least two first-hand cases where impregnation from very large and well developed sons has happened. Below the average 3 week cut-off weight of 250g I don't know of any pregnancies, so you are safe.
