I just wanted to update on my little Coconut... About two weeks ago I noticed that she was sitting in one corner of the cage for about two days and not eating at all! She normally has pale pink ears and when I went to check on her I noticed they were BRIGHT RED! 8......I rushed her over to the vet and she told me she had a fever of 104*F (or 40*C) (Is this very high for piggies?) The vet had no idea what was wrong with her... No sneezing and her lungs sounded fine. She gave me some Bayril to give her for a week and also gave her a Vit C shot.

Well, a week later she is perfect :)) Atcually acting happier now then she ever has before and for the first time since I got her (back in December) she is making noises! She purred for me the first time two days ago. x) I don't have a "mute" piggy anymore!

Still have no clue what could have been wrong with her. But I am very grateful to have her well... Even though the vet bill was a little extreme $200 (american).

Just wanted to update everyone and give a big THANKS! for all the advice that is on here! Being a first time pig owner I am not sure I would have noticed anything was wrong right away if I wasn't educating myself with everyone's input on here!

Thank you everyone! xoxoxoxo
