Soon I'll be able to buy my guinea-pigs food online, and I wanted to buy them 10kg of wagg optimum so I don't have to keep ordering it so often, but would buying lots of it be ok? I have 4 guinea-pigs so it should last a long time, but it wouldn't go bad or anything would it?

I buy my food in big bulk too and it is always fine. Just make sure you put a bag on top when it is open to keep it fresh. :)

When I started ordering my food in bulk I decided to buy an air-tight container. I managed to find one that easily holds a 10kg bag and it comes with a scoop too.

Oh and it also has wheels so you can move it around if you need too. I'm not sure of the make but it has a picture of three dogs on the side (was around £25.00) might be worth having a look on amazon to see if you can get it cheaper :)

i have just seen a pack of three boxes in matalan, with wheels, for £25. however i did not buy them because my mum said they were too expensive...jeez I'm 41! :))

That's mums for you! :)) I have been talked out of buying no end of things by mine! Went to dunelm mill the other week and stood there for ages debating whether I needed to get the pigs any more fleeces:
mum: "do you really need them?" me: "......no" :( hehe!

The only problem i've found with having a large bag of guinea pig food is that my dog eats it....he has access to his own large bag of dog food but he likes to pretend he's a guinea pig.

Lmao @ shaz!
You could buy a plastic waste bin, the sort you'd have in your kitchen with the lift up lid or swing lid?

I'm quite limited on space, and when you have a big bag you can squish it in a corner but you can't really change the shape of bin. The pigs I have now weren't looked after properly before I got them and they eat everything like its going out of fashion so I only give them small amounts of dry food anyway (they've put on about 10 ton in weight since I got them). So for the time being I'm back on little bags till they understand I will always feed them.
