Yes I think it will be - spaced out over some months I should say. He is a dating challenge.
With hindsight probably should have been neutered when younger but in a boys only household that would have brought problems too....
 
Aww he looks like a little angel but you can see he has a cheeky side. Lol hope all goes well.

i was going to suggest maybe neutering but obviously that would bring some possible issues aswell, as you say. he is so lovely though. i really hope he finds an acceptable match. have you tried a baby boy with him? x

Yep - we did try him with a baby boy and he tolerated the baby - until it grew up! Once the youngster got to 5 months and started humping TC etc then it all went horribly wrong...
But still hoping there is the right pig out there....

oh dear... surely there has to be his ideal match out there. fingers crossed the special piggy is the next one he dates. lots of luck x
 
I am pretty shocked but the 12th date is going pretty well! No mega aggression from Tea Cake (his usual tactic) so it might even work:yahoo:
Still a way to go but positive signs......I hope I am not jinxing this by posting.

Oooo good news so far :) Hope it continues, good luck Tea Cake, keep it up
 
update on Teacake and Theo, they are getting on just fine, its lovely to see them sitting near each other and following each other around happily. They still have the odd disagreement but nothing serious. Its all down to Theo being pretty laid back, he came originally from a situation where he was bullied and was then bonded with an older boar. As a result l think he is used to being around grumpy old men! When teacake got grumpy, Theo just started eating some hay and looked bored! I would post a photo but my phone will not let me upload one, will post one when l am on my laptop.
Three lessons l have learnt bonding these two. Firstly, don't rush into putting them together, really let them get to know each other first. Secondly, when you do start putting them together, make sure they have positive associations with being together, l started with having them both on my lap feeding them dandelions. Finally, the old trick of giving them both a bath, not only makes them smell similar but also stresses them so they turn to each other. I found quite a small bonding area was useful for teacake as l think he was anxious in a larger area and hence got aggressive. Lets hope their bond continues to strengthen!
