Welcome to the forum

It's very normal for them to not want to be touched - most piggies dont like to be handled but learn to tolerate it in time. It took one of mine a year and a half before he would even take food from my hand!

The best thing is to use a box or cat carrier and herd them into it. You can them weigh them in that carrier (provided you deduct the weight of the carrier)

Hi and welcome

Guinea pigs are prey animals. Picking them up cuts very close to their instinct. Please try our hands-off method; it may need a little training though!

Please read up on the different prey animal instincts and how you can work around them. You will find the information and practical tips both helpful and very interesting:
Understanding Prey Animal Instincts, Guinea Pig Whispering and Cuddling Tips
How To Pick Up And Weigh Your Guinea Pigs Safely (including video on how to do so hands-off)

PS: We are a friendly and lively place and are doing our best to answer any threads during UK daytime hours as soon as any of us are coming on, so you will get an answer pretty quickly.
I would kindly ask you to please use normal type in your post. Capitals only are much more difficult to read and will put people off rather than the opposite.

Hello and welcome to the forum. They are both gorgeous. 😍

I was just about to add thesame link on piggie whispering when your comment popped up! 🤣

The stuff in there is great and has really helped with my Nova. She's not a biter just hates being touched and uncooperative. She was very challenging just to pick up but now I even clip her nails myself no bother.
