Well it's another busy day at Guinea Pig Rehoming Norfolk!

10am - Lovely family came with their recently bereaved boar, Sunny, to find a friend - and he chose Sir Galahad! They got on fine, so off they went.... Sunny came from me originally so I know where he's going, Sir Galahad has really fallen on his feet!

12 - Allan tillythepig came to collect the lovely himmy Peruvian boar, and also Ruby and Sapphire as he has someone waiting for a pair of piggies and they seem the perfect match!

Then got more people coming this afternoon x 4, to find pairs of piggies or pair up single boars. It's a bit non stop!

And in between, I am bathing piggies of my own! Shame it's not sunnier here, just had to dash out and get a load in from the rain!

Will definitely have earnt my glass of wine tonight!

Wow, that sounds very hectic. Great that you're finding lovely homes for piggies though.

Definitely 2 glasses for you tonight methinks. :(|)

Good news - it may be hectic, but it's the kind of hectic that leaves you with a good feeling in the evening!

I am glad that Sir Galahad has found a lovely home so quickly as well, and that Ruby and Sapphire are having somewhere to go, too.

As to Steve... - LUCKY guy, ALan! drool

That sounds like a crazy busy day! But tonight when you sit down, you'll be left with that lovely, warm fuzzy feeling you get when you know you've done something worthwhile.

So glad some piggies have found nice homes :)

So, this afternoon - lovely family with young daughter came to see the piggies, and reserved Dylan and Dougal (Ermentrude's babies), the little girl was so gentle with them and the parents have wanted guineas for ages :)

Then another family with an older daughter, all guinea mad - just lost their last one and were looking for some new piggies to love - adopted a neutered boar / sow pair :)

Then the last mother and daughter were looking for a friend for their boar - sadly he didn't take to any of the single older boars I have here, so they're on the waiting list for a baby boar now!

Phew! Gin and Tonic now, please?

That's great that so many have found new homes :) Is that usual to be so busy rehoming in a weekend?

It hasn't been this busy in a while, but I've had so many piggies in lately and so many enquiries that I just thought if I spent the whole day at it, we might get somewhere!

The rest of the weekend is pig free!

I'll pour you one shall i? lol. I'm really glad you've had such a productive rehoming day.

If you dont mind me asking here, how far out do you rehome? I'm in hutingdon and hopefully all things going well will look for a friend for my lone boar later in the summer. I was chatting to mum about it last night and your rescue just came to my mind.

Hello

I rehome out as far as Huntingdon (LauraCCC4 has had several piggies from me and she's over that way!), as my partner is at Brampton so I can easily get over there.

We have 2 pregnant rescue sows here at the moment so hopefully in a few weeks time we'll have some baby boars to choose from that might pair up with your chap!

Threads like this makes me so happy! Fantastic news with all the piggies finding their forever homes! I think you are entitled to one drink per rehomed piggy and one drink for each two reservations! :))

I thought todays photo shoot was enough for me, I couldn't do everything you've been doing today. And bathing the pigs in between! Madness. At least it's a productive madness.

Definitely have that glass of wine, or G&T, or both!

(P.S. Joey - I didn't know you were still round Huntingdon way! Sophie is lovely, I've had 5 pigs from her and she transported a sixth for me - I quite literally wouldn't have half my pigs if it weren't for Sophie. :) )

Phew! What a busy day! Glad so many piggies are finding good homes though :)

Hope you've had that very well deserved G&T by now ;)

I am glad that nearly everything went well and that you are enjoying your well earned rest!

Cheers! :))
