Well today has been a busy one! Waiting on word of the boys being neutered so we decide to go do some shopping. Went to one of our local pet shops to pick up some bits for the snails. They know i'm a crazy piggy lady so asked me if I was interested in a disabled piggy and her mum. As soon as they said disabled I knew I had to help somehow. I said OK let me see them. As soon as I saw them I was in love. Baby piggy has deformed front legs and I couldn't separate her and leave her mum on her own. So now I have two new ladies.

Disabled lady gets around fine and has been running around the cage and up the ramps so no problems there. Her joints feel flexible so I am so I think it may be a tendon issue from being squished inside mum (mum is small so a baby having babies :() I will see if some physio and stretching exercises will improve her legs.

So... Everyone welcome Marla (Red Abyssinnian) and her mother Pippa (red and white smooth haired). They will hopefully be Yoshi's new wives when everyone is settled and quarantine is over etc.

They are beautiful. I can see how you had to have them, bet Yoshi will love them. They certainly have landed on their paws coming to you, I hope you can help the baby improve. Watching this space with much interest. X
 
Thank you everyone! I think Yoshi will be very excited when he realises! You wouldn't think anything was wrong with Marla, she flies around the cage like a hooligan so it obviously doesn't stop her getting around :D

Aww what gorgeous piggies to add to your herd. If we stay at the caravan site in Bury next year I'm definitely coming to see you for a cuddle of all your wonderful and gorgeous piggies! :love::love::love::love::love:

hopefully your TLC & physio will help her legs straighten to a more natural shape, but it's nice to know Marla can get around ok as she is.
