Well as I have mentioned in a previous thread, my piggy was pregnant. We knew the time was near due to being able to fell the babies kickin around, and from her size I predicited 2. Well all week my son has been off school and has been waiting to see if theyre were any new arrivals but nothin :( I said to him durin the week 'you watch you will go back to school and Peppa Zsa Zsa will have them' (thats her full name but peppa for short) and guess what my son wakes up this morning gets ready for school, goes and checks on the piggys and spots a tiny little head peerin out of the sleepin area! :)) I think she really was waitin for him to go back to school rolleyes. Well we have 2 beautiful, healthy, baby piggys! :)) Mum is fine so we are all happy and mummy is munchin away happy as larry! :))

I am glad that all has gone well!

Please weigh your pups tonight and then daily when mummy is busy munching and less likely to get uspset. You can handle pups for short bursts of time without breaking the bond between mum and pups. They should ideally weigh between 70-100g and put on weight from tomorrow onwards.

Here is a link to the best sexing website for guinea pigs of all ages. You will need to separate any male pups at three weeks old.

Hi thank you for the tip, I'm quite nifty at sexing, but will check that in a week or 2, as they are small and I dont want to stress them or mum out and also that way it will be a bit easier but Ive got a sneaky suspision its 1 of each, but I will wait and see. I will start weighin them tomorrow. Thank you

she probably didn't want to be fussed over too much. A bit of quiet with a newborn or two can be nice!

heres a pic for you all to enjoy!

(hope its worked)

Ive taken a peek and I think my suspicions are right the dark brown is a girl and the ginger a boy, but I wouldnt put a bet on it, I'll double check in a few weeks :)

Well Ive just looked at sexing them and Ive got the sexes mixed up mallethead The dark brown is actually a boy and the ginger and white a girl, oh dear I dont think 'he' would be pleased to know I thought he was a girl! rolleyes Just going to have to get used to calling he, she and she, he :p
