hmmm.. i got 2 questions about piggies here..


1)Firstly.. does piggie *fart* ? =X

I carried Sugar out from the cage and i smell something "eww"~ i thought its the poop or something.. but weird, the smell goes away after that! and i tried to smell Sugar and can't find the stinky smell anymore. lololol.. so I'm jus wondering where does the stinky smell come from ;D ;D ?


2) What do u do if piggies are sneezing?

Issit that they caught a cold or something? they sneeze and sneeze but the nose isn't watery.. hmmm. so should i do anything abt it or its just normal?
I'm more worried of Baby Coffee becos she's so small.. and i doesn't wan her to get a cold.. i put a cloth for her to lie on now so she can get some "warmth"

I'm living in SG and the temperature isn't tat cold... (its summer all day long..)
 
they probably do fart or 'pass wind' as they say! ;D
sneezing isnot a problem especially if on hay etc that can be dusty just be worried if it is constant
 
hahahaa if they do "pass wind"... did u smell a kinda of stinky smell in the air? >.<~
 
Yeah they let some raspers go but I can't say I've put my nose up their backsides to smell their farts! ;D
 
hahahaha! so weird! but the smell (even i dun put my nose there) is kinda strong but goes away after awhile!
lolol~
 
Funny though, Ant was in the basket before and he let one go and it stunk! ;D

I think the worst smell is when they scent everywhere. Pudsey done it in the shed and now Sunshine has done it so it bloomin stinks! Love my boys though! ;D Even if they are stinkypops! ::)
 
Could the piggy be scenting?
 
Anne in Pudsey and Sunshine's case yes definitly. Ant McPumpkin though was just boffing! ;D
 
I gave my girls a sprout each yesturday. Every now and again i can smell a faint waft of stinky sprout xx0 heheehe

My piggie sneezes more than the other. she has done since i had them about 4 weeks ago from a rescue. I think its just the hay.
 
I have never had a guinea fart near me ;D I'll remember it for the future though ;D
Mine sometimes sneeze but not every day all the time (which is how I tell it's a random sneeze and not the beginnings of a URI)
 
hahaahaha! what is scenting by the way?
awww.. could it be the cucumber i fed Sugar few days ago.. tts why he gave such a weird smell "wind" lol~


hmm.. it seems Coffee is sneezing quite often.. maybe its just the hay.. hehe i will see to it. =)
 
If she's reallie having a cold... what do u guys do usually? send to the vet? or any other ways? =)

Piggies don't get colds... they get upper respiratory infections (URIs). If she's sneezing a lot it's best to have her checked by a vet, especially because she's so tiny.
 
Woodstock had a URI a few weeks ago now, the vet gave him Baytril (a type of antibiotic).

If there's no URI the chest should be clear, the nose shouldn't be running and the eyes should be clear and bright.
 
her eyes is bright and clear...there isn't any running nose.. and she keep runnning abt!

I'm wondering issit the dust in my room becos I'm also sneezing like mad. hahahaahha i jus cleared finish my room >.< hopefully it helps.

since she's still running actively and eating drinking normallie.. i think i shouldn't be too worried right?

i will still monitor her =)
she grew bigger now.. hehe I'm so happie... shes weigh 160g now! 60g more. LOL~
