Looking for any advice on getting two male skinny pigs to at least be civil during play time. Currently one male is 12 months, one 9 months. The younger one is more aggressive with teeth chattering and attempts viscious biting. I have had each of them since June (one from the beginning of the month, and one at the end). I have exhausted every effort at trying to see if they will get along.
I have tried: shampooing/bathing them, neutral grounds, open spaces, giving them privacy, bringing them on car rides (stressful situations to induce bonding), tried introducing hay on a plate in neutral grounds (had some success, but lots of squeeking and eventually a brawl after 20 minutes), and exchanging fleece blankets about two hours before playtime to get use to their smell. They currently live in seperate cages, one above the other so they smell each others scent at the very least.
I thought I would ask before I completely give up and accept that they may never be friends.
