It's not, in fact, 24C in the pigs room. It can't be. I know this. But the thermometer read 24C. I swore a lot, I ran to get those blinds closed, I ran down the stairs and up again with some watery veg even though their bottles are full, AND

Then I remembered that their cage is on the floor and the thermometer is on the top of a bookcase right in the path of the sunlight. That was a scare I could've done without after yesterday. Good grief.

It’s amazing how much difference some direct sunlight can make!

No kidding, within ten minutes the temperature had "dropped" 3 degrees and I remember thinking I was a bit of a twit lol. Especially with the two of them staring at me wondering what all the apparent fuss was about :)) Clearly I need to find somewhere else to put that thermometer, which is going to be a bit of a pain. But needs must, I don't think my heart could take another round of that, haha.

Happens to me every morning in the summer. The thermometer is is always in the sun first thing (it's just on the corner of the cage that catches the early sun), one day last week it read 26 but I was working in here and I knew it definitely wasn't that hot as i had my sweatshirt on. Dora actually likes to sit on top of her bed in the sunlight, once she gets nice and warm she always moves away.

She is beyond adorable! 😍
Luna my pink skinny enjoys sunbathing too.

Our central heating said it was 27 this afternoon :yikes: No wonder the radiators didn’t kick in  :))

I have those blinds with a plastic stick...thing. You pull blinds open, push blinds closed, children can't accidentally strangle themselves with it. Right? Except the one in the pig's room came unhooked and I can't seem to hook it back in, which made closing those blinds extra fun. My room's blinds are fine. I never open the blinds in my room. Their cage wouldn't fit in my room though, lol.
